My career as a creative professional began with various freelance jobs consisting of logo and brochure design, product illustration and portraits. After completing my Associate Degree from Macomb Community College, I applied to and was accepted at the College of Creative Studies in Detroit on the strength of my college portfolio. Unfortunately I was unable to secure the funds to attend, so I took a job creating business forms for a local bank using Quark on a Macintosh.
That job allowed me the opportunity to teach myself other desktop design applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Armed with those skills, I was able to secure myself a position designing labels for all GM vehicles in North American. That job lead to me being hired on with OnStar during that company's infancy as a technical illustrator. I eventually transitioned into a web design role before leaving there after 8 years to take a position with Advanced Media Solutions as their Creative Art Director.
Since then, I have taken various UI/UX design positions with companies such as Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, RCM Technologies, Stefanini, Sogeti and most recently MOTOR Information Systems. I have worked as a design consultant on accounts for companies such Microsoft, Dow Corning, GMAC Financial Services and DTE Energy.
My skills include Interaction Design, User Interface Design, Logo and Print Design, Wireframing and Prototype Design. In my 20+ years as a creative professional, I have always gone above and beyond the expectations of my clients simply because I love what I do and take a tremendous amount of pride in my work.
